In August 2019, the 14th ESA Conference and its attending sociologists from Europe and beyond gained significant media attention.
University co-hosts Europe’s largest event for sociologists (published on Tuesday, August 20, 2019)
The ESA’s commissioned media consultant, Tony Trueman, issued 14 press releases about selected research studies presented at the ESA 2019 conference in Manchester. Over half of them received media coverage, five of them significant items in the UK or press abroad. In total, there were 72 press items based on the press releases, most mentioning the ESA in the text.
