full-time Postdoc Research Fellowship Milano 1 year renewable
A full-time Postdoc Research Fellow position is available in September 2021 in the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
The successful candidate will conduct research, in a cross-country and multilevel perspective, on the work-life interface using data from ITA.LI – Italian Lives, that is the newly established longitudinal household panel study on a probability sample of about 5,000 households and 9,000 individuals (aged 16+) in Italy.
Potential lines of research address: health and well-being related consequences of work-life balance; gender differences in employment patterns; the individual, household and contextual factors that contribute to women’s career equality; the interaction between male’s and female’s careers in dual-career partnerships; the relationship between the work-life interface and job quality.
Qualifications: We are seeking highly motivated applicants with a PhD in sociology or related discipline, experience in panel data analysis, commitment to working effectively and publishing in highly rated journals.
Opportunities to work in international networks with colleagues using general population household panel surveys as well as opportunities to develop further methodological skills through advanced training will be provided.
Start date: September 2021.
The position is located in Milan, Italy. Possibility of remote working will be considered.
The appointment is tenable for a period of 1 year, with the possibility of another appointment the following year.
