CALL FOR BOOK REVIEWS EDITOR for European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology

Deadline

The term opens in January 2022 and runs for the duration of the term of the current editorial committee, i. e. until December 31st, 2024.
The European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology is a peer-reviewed journal owned by the European Sociological Association and published by Routledge/Taylor and Francis, currently at its eighth volume. The Journal is a forum for academic work exploring relationships between
culture and politics through a sociological lens. We welcome considerations of cultural phenomena in relation to political context, work that situates political phenomena within a cultural framework, and all points between these poles.
The book reviews editor will be joining a team of three editors-in-chief and a managing editor who work closely together. The Journal offers its editors a spotlight experience of editing a forward-moving, new and ambitious journal and an expenses budget for promoting the Journal in the form of conference attendance, ESA event participation, and Journal team meetings.
The book reviews editor should have a strong interest in engaging broadly with sociological and related literature that is relevant to the Journal’s scope. Solid skills in copy-editing in English are a requirement.
The book reviews editor will receive training from Ulrike Vieten, the Journal’s Editor-in -Chief transferring the responsibility for reviews to the newly recruited editor.

To apply, please send a short cover letter stating your interest, your CV and list of publications (in a single PDF file) to linda.haapajarvi[at] ehess.fr by November 30, 2021.
